Calf Scramble
Mutton Bustin'
Mutton Bustin' is an increasingly popular event that was developed
expressly for young rodeo fans. This event gives them the opportunity to get
in on the act of being a rodeo competitor! And, if you never noticed, it’s a
huge crowd pleaser too!
Open to youngsters ages 5 and 7
Kids must weigh 60lbs or less
Contestants ride bareback on sheep and cling on for dear life to stay
mounted. The kids are released from the chute and must attempt to ride for
the allotted time to qualify. The highest score is given to the rider who stays
on the longest.
Applications are available March 1 through April 30 at Baskins Western
Wear (Conroe), Frerich’s Western Wear (Conroe).
Winners:
1st Place each night will receive a pair of Justin Boots.
Each child will receive a Justin Bandana and Belt Buckle.
All participants are required to wear Safety Equipment provided by Justin
Boots.
**All participants must be between the ages of 5-7 and a maximum weight
of 60lbs. There will be a maximum of 30 participants pulled from a drawing.

All participants are required to fill out Liability Waivers provided by Justin
Boots.
Stick Horse Rodeo Stampede
The Lone Star Stampede PRCA Rodeo is proud to present our First Stick Horse Rodeo Stampede Contest for Kids ages 4-6 at the Lone Star Expo Center May 9-10, 2008.
All Contestants will do a Grand Entry where they will be judged for Best Costume and Horsemanship, then compete by age group in a Barrel Race. Prizes will be awarded for 1st Place in Best Costume, Horsemanship, and Barrel Race each night.

specialty acts in professional rodeo.
